Apply before you remove
Submit the Lawn to Garden application with photos of your existing lawn. Do not remove any lawn or sprinklers until you receive the Notice to Proceed email.

Design to the requirements
Plan at least 300 square feet of conversion using low-water plants from the district Approved Plant List at 50% coverage at maturity. No synthetic turf.

Install within the window
After the Notice to Proceed, remove the lawn and plant the new garden. CCWD generally allows six months to finish.

Submit for the rebate
Send after photos and receipts to receive $1 per square foot, up to $2,000 for homes.
The Notice to Proceed email is the gate. Apply with before photos and wait for it before touching the lawn or sprinklers.
