Confirm your city participates
Check that your city participates in the CUWCD Landscape Incentive Program. The lawn conversion rate is $3.00 per square foot, up to $50,000 per residential property.

Register, add your property, and submit your application with before photos and a landscape plan that is unique to your property. A professional design is not required.

Pass the pre-project inspection
A conservation technician inspects your living lawn before you remove anything. Do not start work until that inspection is complete.

Install and get paid
Complete the water-efficient conversion within your project window, request the final site visit with after photos, and submit a W-9 to receive payment.
CUWCD inspects before you dig, so apply and wait for the pre-project visit first.
