Check that your property is in the MSD Project Clear service area on the online map, then watch the orientation video and complete the survey. Both are required before you can apply.

Plan and apply by mail
Design your rainscaping project with help from the Landowner Handbook, then submit your application by mail or hand delivery. Online submissions are not accepted.

Wait for the Notice to Proceed
Do not install anything until your application is approved and you receive a Notice to Proceed. Starting early disqualifies the work.

Build and get reimbursed
Complete the project, keep itemized receipts, and submit them for reimbursement up to $4,000. Payment typically arrives a few months after completion.
The orientation and the Notice to Proceed are the two gates most applicants miss. Finish orientation first and wait for written approval before you dig.
