Email rainwaterrewards@raleighnc.gov to set up the required consultation before you apply. The Stormwater team reviews your site and explains which reimbursement tier fits your address.

Design and apply
Plan a rain garden, cistern, or other approved stormwater feature to the specifications from your consultation, then submit the application for approval.

Install and document
Build the project to the approved design and take photos. Keep itemized receipts for every cost.

Submit for reimbursement
Send your receipts and completion documentation to the Stormwater team to receive up to 90% of approved costs back.
