How to Apply for Seattle, Washington Water Rebates
Check the CSO basin map before anything else. The rebate pays up to $13.12 per sq ft of rooftop runoff controlled and often covers most of the project. A RainWise-trained contractor is required.
Application Steps
- 1
Check your CSO basin
Use the RainWise eligibility checker to confirm your property sits in a qualifying combined sewer overflow basin. The rebate is only available inside those basins.
Open the RainWise site - 2
Hire a trained contractor
Use the program locator to find a RainWise-trained contractor, then have them design a rain garden or cistern sized to control your rooftop runoff.
- 3
Install and maintain
Complete the installation through the trained contractor and maintain the project for five years. The rebate pays up to $13.12 per square foot of rooftop runoff controlled.
CSO basin eligibility and a trained contractor are the two gates. Confirm the basin before you spend any time on design.
