Get a native garden plan for your zip code
Enter your zip and we will build a short starter list of plants native to your area, with when each one blooms, how much sun it wants, and what it feeds. It takes a few seconds.
How the list is put together
- Matched to your ecoregion, not just your state
- Your zip resolves to an EPA Level III ecoregion. State lines rarely follow growing conditions, and two zips in the same state can want quite different plants. It is also why we start from your ecoregion instead of a USDA hardiness zone. BloomsEye checked 697 garden plants against the published botanical authorities and found them disagreeing on the hardiness zone for 53.7 percent of the plants, against 0.1 percent for sun needs. A zone number is less settled than it looks.
- Picked so something blooms most of the season
- The same selection logic the app uses fills gaps in the bloom calendar, so pollinators find something in flower across spring, summer and fall.
- Limited to plants you can actually buy
- Specialty-only species are excluded, and the most widely stocked ones are marked. Every plant shown has a real photograph of that species.
