Florida Water Rebates

Alachua County, Florida Water Rebates

The Alachua County Environmental Protection Department runs Turf SWAP to help property owners reduce outdoor water use. It pays a 50% rebate up to $2,000 to remove all or part of an in-ground irrigation system and replace turf with Florida-Friendly Landscaping. The work is done by a SWAP Shop professional who is Florida Water Star accredited, so this is not a do-it-yourself rebate.

  • Don't do the conversion yourself. The rebate requires a Florida Water Star accredited SWAP Shop professional.

  • Don't start before confirming current funding. Call 352-264-6800 first, since program details can change between funding cycles.
