- Apply online at mycr.org before removing any lawn. Submit the xeriscape rebate application at mycr.org under Water Conservation. Include your Castle Rock Water account number, the planned conversion square footage, and a description of the proposed replacement plants. Do not start any work until you receive written pre-approval.
- Remove lawn and install xeriscape after receiving pre-approval. Once you receive written pre-approval, remove the qualifying lawn and install drought-tolerant plants, mulch, and irrigation as planned. Photograph the project area before starting and after completion. Retain all receipts for plants, materials, and contractor work.
- Schedule a post-installation inspection and receive your rebate. Contact Castle Rock Water to schedule the final inspection. The inspector will measure the converted area and verify plant species and coverage against the approved plant list. After the inspection passes, the $3.25/sq ft rebate is processed and issued.
