Missouri Water Rebates

St. Louis, Missouri Water Rebates

The Deer Creek Watershed Alliance runs a rainscaping cost-share to keep stormwater out of Deer Creek and its tributaries. Residential landowners can be reimbursed 75% of approved and documented costs, up to $4,500, for rain gardens, native plantings, permeable pavers, and similar practices. Your address has to fall inside one of the designated Program Focus Areas, and you complete a landowner orientation before you apply.

How to apply

  1. Verify your address is in a Program Focus Area on the interactive map
  2. Complete the landowner orientation (video and survey, or in person)
  3. Plan your rainscaping project and prepare a design
  4. Submit your application by hand delivery or mail
  5. Wait for acceptance, then install during the planting season
  6. Submit receipts and completion forms to receive 75% up to $4,500

What you'll need

  • Focus-area eligibility confirmation
  • Orientation completion
  • Project design
  • Itemized receipts and completion forms

Pollinator Patch can help: It picks Missouri natives suited to the Deer Creek watershed, designs an HOA-friendly rain garden that fits the cost-share rules, and prepares the plant list and plan for your application.

Avoid these mistakes

  • Don't apply before confirming your address is in a Program Focus Area. Properties outside the areas do not qualify.
  • Don't skip the orientation. It is required and stays valid for two years.
  • Don't take both this award and the MSD Project Clear grant for the same project. A landowner may receive only one.
