As of August 2026 the program is open only to South Euclid residents; a prior Bingham Foundation grant had funded a wider Cuyahoga/Geauga/Lake/Portage-county expansion, but that grant ended and eligibility reverted to South Euclid alone. Requires pre-approval, a maintenance agreement, and a post-installation site inspection (confirmed by Chagrin River Watershed Partners staff, August 2026).

- Submit design plans and a maintenance agreement
- Post-installation photos, receipts, and a passing site inspection

Do not remove turf or begin work before you have written approval. This program requires pre-approval. Starting early can disqualify the project even if everything else is correct.
Eligibility narrowed to South Euclid only (confirmed August 2026); the multi-county Bingham Foundation grant that funded broader Northeast Ohio eligibility ended a few years prior. Previously listed cities (Chagrin Falls, Solon, Mentor, Willoughby, Pepper Pike, Beachwood, Mayfield Heights) are no longer eligible.
