How to Get the Water Efficiency Landscape Rebate
Provo City · Utah County / Wasatch Front, UT
What you get
Provo runs its OWN city-funded rebate (it opted out of the statewide program): $4 per square foot for turf converted to waterwise landscaping, $2.50 per square foot for turf converted to permeable pavers, plus $3 per sprinkler nozzle (10 to 25). Apply directly to Provo City before starting the project (Provo City; last verified June 2026).
- Residential: $4.00/sq ft (waterwise); $2.50/sq ft (permeable pavers)
Are you eligible?
- Be a Provo City customer
- Property located in: Provo
- Provo City Water Resources customer
- Apply to Provo City before beginning the conversion
- Convert turf to waterwise landscaping or permeable pavers
Before you start
Do not remove turf or begin work before you have written approval. This program requires pre-approval. Starting early can disqualify the project even if everything else is correct.

One-time $29.99. Guidance, not filing: you submit to the program yourself. Not legal or financial advice. Rebate amounts and approval are decided by the program.
Every program listed cites its official source, and each program page shows the date we last verified it against that source. Program details change throughout the year, so always confirm requirements, amounts, and eligibility directly with the program before starting work. Pollinator Patch is not affiliated with any rebate program and does not guarantee approval.
