Colorado Water Rebates
Westminster, Colorado Water Rebates
Westminster partners with Resource Central to offer a $750 credit toward lawn removal services and Garden In A Box kits, rather than a city per-square-foot rebate. You apply through Resource Central, remove at least 200 square feet of water-intensive turf, and replace it with a water-wise landscape. The credit can go toward removal and haul-away or toward up to four Garden In A Box kits. Funds are limited and go out first come, first served.

WaterWise Landscape Credit
Open the official program siteHow to apply
- Confirm you are a Westminster Utilities water customer
- Apply through Resource Central while funds are available
- Submit a photo of the turf area and your water-wise landscape plan
- Use the $750 credit for lawn removal and haul-away or up to four Garden In A Box kits
- Replace at least 200 sq ft of turf with water-wise plants and mulch, no artificial turf
What you'll need
- Westminster Utilities account information
- Photo of the turf area to be transformed
- Plan for the new water-wise landscape
- Resource Central application confirmation
- Plant list for the Garden In A Box kits or new design
Pollinator Patch can help: It picks Front Range Colorado natives suited to a Westminster yard, designs an HOA-friendly water-wise layout to replace your turf, and builds the photo and plan packet Resource Central asks for.
Avoid these mistakes
- Don't install artificial turf. Resource Central does not allow it as a replacement.
- Don't remove less than 200 square feet of turf. That is the minimum for the credit.
- Don't wait until late in the season. The credit is first come, first served and options can fill up when funds run low.
