How to Apply for Boerne, Texas Water Rebates

Get pre-approval before you start any work. $1 per sq ft on a minimum 100 sq ft conversion, capped at $500 per year combined with other Boerne conservation rebates.

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Get pre-approval before you start

Submit the Boerne Water Conservation Rebate form with a project narrative, dimensions, plant selections, and a before photo. Do not remove any turf until you receive your pre-approval notification.

    Open the Boerne rebate form
  2. 2

    Design a qualifying drought-tolerant landscape

Plan a conversion of at least 100 square feet of healthy, irrigated turfgrass to a qualifying drought-tolerant landscape. Note any automated irrigation components you are removing.

  3. 3

    Convert and document

Complete the conversion as planned and keep your before photo and plant list on hand for the rebate claim.

  4. 4

    Submit and get paid

Submit your completed conversion for the $1 per square foot rebate, up to the $500 annual cap combined across Boerne conservation rebates.

Boerne requires pre-approval, so apply before you start. The project narrative and before-photo steps are what trip most people up.
