How to Apply for Park City, Utah Water Rebates

Application Steps

   Prepare a site plan and irrigation plan before applying

   Sketch a site plan showing the lawn area to be converted and the proposed xeriscape layout, including plant placements and mulch areas. Prepare an irrigation plan showing the proposed drip or low-volume irrigation system. These are required before Park City will approve the application.

   Submit the application at mywater.weberbasin.gov and email savewater@parkcity.org

   Apply through the Weber Basin portal at mywater.weberbasin.gov. When submitting, send a copy of your application and plans to savewater@parkcity.org. Include your property address, the planned conversion square footage, and your site and irrigation plans. Wait for written pre-approval before removing any lawn.

   Complete the lawn removal and xeriscape installation after pre-approval

   Once you receive written approval from Weber Basin and Park City, remove the qualifying lawn and install the approved xeriscape plan. Photograph the conversion area before and after. Retain all receipts for plants, mulch, irrigation materials, and contractor work.

   Schedule a post-conversion inspection and receive your rebate

   Contact Weber Basin or Park City to schedule the post-conversion inspection. The inspector will verify the converted area against the approved site plan and confirm plant coverage and irrigation. After approval, the $3/sq ft rebate (up to $15,000) is processed.
