Get pre-approval before installing
Wait for written pre-approval from the Chesapeake Bay Trust. Do not install until you have it. Pre-approval is required for the rebate.
- 3
Install to the requirements
Install with native plants and meet the minimum size, at least 250 sq ft for conservation landscaping or 100 sq ft for a rain garden. You have 12 months from pre-approval to finish.
- 4
Inspect and get paid
After the Chesapeake Bay Trust inspects the completed project and confirms it matches the approved plan, submit receipts to receive the rebate, up to $5,000.
This rebate is administered by the Chesapeake Bay Trust and pays after a post-installation inspection. Pre-approval and the minimum sizes are what gate the money.
