How to Apply for Queen Creek, Arizona Water Rebates

Apply and pass a pre-inspection before removing any turf. $2 per sq ft or 75% of cost, up to $5,000. Minimum 500 sq ft converted with at least 30% live plant canopy at maturity. Funding is grant-based and first-come, first-served.

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Apply and schedule a pre-inspection

Apply on the Town of Queen Creek website and schedule the pre-inspection before removing any grass. The Town inspects first, and starting early disqualifies the project.

  2. 2

    Design to the thresholds

Plan to convert at least 500 square feet and reach at least 30% live plant canopy at maturity using ADWR Drought-Tolerant Plant List species. Artificial turf does not count toward canopy.

  3. 3

    Convert, then pass the post-inspection

Complete the conversion, keep itemized receipts, and schedule the post-inspection. The Town pays after sign-off.

  4. 4

    Apply early for funding

Funding is a first-come, first-served state grant. Confirm the current round and remaining funds with conserve@queencreekaz.gov before you plan around the rebate.

Queen Creek inspects before and after, and funding is first-come, first-served, so apply and book the pre-inspection early. The pre-inspection and 30% canopy steps are what trip most people up.
