How to Apply for Livermore, California Water Rebates
Get your Notice to Proceed before any work begins. $2 per sq ft up to $3,000. At least 100 sq ft of street-visible lawn and 50% low-water plant coverage at maturity. Artificial turf is not eligible.
Application Steps

Apply for pre-approval first
Submit your application with a plant list and landscape design to Zone 7. All projects must be approved before lawn removal, so do not remove anything yet.

Wait for the Notice to Proceed
Zone 7 reviews the application, typically within 1 to 2 weeks, then issues a Notice to Proceed. This is the document that protects your eligibility.

Convert and document
Complete the work within 120 days with at least 50% low-water plant coverage at maturity and no artificial turf. Take photos and keep all receipts.

Submit for the rebate
Send your receipts and completion photos, and pass the post-construction inspection if required, to receive $2 per square foot up to $3,000.
