Chandler, Arizona Water Conservation Rebates (2025 Guide)
The City of Chandler pays $1.50 per square foot for single-family residential customers who remove non-synthetic grass and replace it with city-approved low-water landscaping. The maximum rebate is $2,000 per property. As of January 1, 2026, the per-square-foot rate was reduced from $2.00 to $1.50 and the maximum from $3,000 to $2,000 when the City Council extended the program. Rebates are awarded first come, first served from the date a completed application is received.

Complete the grass removal and landscaping installation
Remove all non-synthetic grass from the approved area and install the city-approved replacement landscaping as described in your application. Keep receipts and photographs of the work.

Request a post-installation inspection and submit for rebate payment

What Qualifies as Low-Water-Use Landscaping
