What you get

Bill credit for 50% of the purchase or installation cost of rain barrels, drip irrigation, native low-water-use plants, smart controllers, and rain sensors, capped at $150 lifetime per water bill account (rain sensors capped at $80). Plants are chosen from the Montgomery County native plant list (Woodlands Water rebates page, woodlandswater.org/rebates, last verified June 2026).

  • Customer of one of the 10 Woodlands Water MUDs
  • Rebate form plus itemized receipts, submitted through the WaterSmart portal
  • Plants from the Montgomery County native plant list

The $150 cap is lifetime per account, not annual. Credit is applied to the water bill.
