Search "Turf Removal Rebate" on buckeyeaz.gov under Water Conservation and apply. Get approval before removing any turf, and apply early because funds are first-come, first-served.

Plan the conversion
Plan to convert at least 500 square feet of natural grass to low-water landscaping. The rebate is 50% of cost or $1.75 per square foot, whichever is lower.

Remove and document
After approval, remove the turf, install the low-water landscaping, take after photos, and keep itemized receipts.

Submit and get paid
Send your after photos and receipts to receive 50% of your cost or $1.75 per square foot, whichever is lower.
Buckeye caps the program at $10,000 per fiscal year and pays out first-come, first-served, so apply before you start and apply early.
