Mountain sweetroot is a delicate native wildflower with fern-like foliage and small white flower clusters that bloom from May through July. This shade-loving perennial grows 1-3 feet tall and prefers consistent moisture, making it ideal for woodland gardens or shaded borders. The plant dies back completely in winter but returns reliably each spring.
