Pinewoods horkelia is a low-growing native perennial that forms compact clumps with delicate compound leaves. It produces small white to pale pink flowers in late spring and early summer, creating a subtle groundcover effect. This mountain species prefers cooler conditions and partial shade.

In an HOA neighborhood

Pinewoods Horkelia takes more care to keep looking intentional in a front yard. Maintenance level: low. Consider it for backyard or mid-zone beds rather than the street edge.

Works well in: backyard only.

  • Small flowers and fine foliage may appear weedy to untrained eyes
  • Unknown dormancy appearance creates uncertainty
