Piper's anemone is a delicate native wildflower that produces small white or pale pink blooms in late spring and early summer. This low-growing perennial forms small clumps and prefers partially shaded locations with consistent moisture.

In an HOA neighborhood

Piper'S Anemone takes more care to keep looking intentional in a front yard. Maintenance level: low. Consider it for backyard or mid-zone beds rather than the street edge.

Works well in: backyard only.

  • Very small and can appear sparse
  • May go dormant and disappear seasonally
  • Looks more like a wildflower than cultivated plant

Wildlife value

The flowers attract native bees and beetles during its May through July blooming period. Its compact size makes it suitable for pollinator gardens in smaller spaces.

Native range data from the USDA PLANTS Database and regional native plant society lists. Pollinator and host plant associations compiled from GBIF, iNaturalist, and published ecological literature.
