Blue plumbago is a sprawling evergreen shrub grown for its clusters of sky-blue, phlox-like flowers from late spring through fall. It originates in southern Africa and is planted in warm climates as an ornamental for hedges, borders, and containers. It tolerates heat and lean soil and flowers most heavily in full sun.
