Parry's townsend daisy is a compact native wildflower that forms low cushions of small white or pale purple daisy-like blooms. This diminutive perennial thrives in full sun with minimal water, making it ideal for rock gardens and dry slopes. It blooms reliably from May through July, providing consistent color during late spring and early summer.

In an HOA neighborhood

Parry's Townsend Daisy takes more care to keep looking intentional in a front yard. Maintenance level: low. Consider it for backyard or mid-zone beds rather than the street edge.

Works well in: backyard only.

  • Extremely small size may appear insignificant in formal landscapes
  • Wild daisy appearance conflicts with manicured aesthetic
  • Unknown dormant season appearance creates uncertainty

Wildlife value

This native daisy attracts bees and beetles during its extended blooming period. Its small stature makes it particularly valuable for supporting smaller native pollinators that might be overlooked by larger flowering plants.

Native range data from the USDA PLANTS Database and regional native plant society lists. Pollinator and host plant associations compiled from GBIF, iNaturalist, and published ecological literature.
