Twin arnica is a low-growing perennial wildflower native to mountain regions. It produces bright yellow daisy-like blooms from May through July and forms compact clumps that spread slowly over time. This drought-tolerant plant thrives in full sun conditions with minimal water requirements once established.

In an HOA neighborhood

Twin Arnica takes more care to keep looking intentional in a front yard. Maintenance level: low. Consider it for backyard or mid-zone beds rather than the street edge.

Works well in: backyard only.

  • Appears very wild and informal
  • May look sparse or weedy outside bloom period
  • Uncommon plant that HOAs might not recognize as intentional landscaping

Wildlife value

The cheerful yellow flowers attract native bees and butterflies during the spring and early summer blooming period. It provides important nectar resources for pollinators.

Native range data from the USDA PLANTS Database and regional native plant society lists. Pollinator and host plant associations compiled from GBIF, iNaturalist, and published ecological literature.
