Carex striata is a native sedge that forms attractive clumps of arching, grass-like foliage. This moisture-loving perennial produces inconspicuous flowers in late spring through summer and provides excellent texture in partially shaded areas. It works well as a groundcover or accent plant in consistently moist locations.
