Jackson County SWCD ($5,000 max) and Bend are Oregon's strongest residential cash programs. Portland offers irrigation rebates and ongoing Clean River Rewards bill credits. For the Willamette Valley, contact your local SWCD or county Extension office.

How to apply for Oregon rebates
- 1.Apply for pre-approval before you start. Starting work first is the most common reason applications get denied.
- 2.Take before photos of the area you plan to convert, then matching after photos from the same angles once the work is done.

Stormwater Management and Water Storage Rebate
Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District
Rebate for rain gardens, bioswales, rainwater harvest systems, and planter boxes. Up to $5,000 per project. Rain gardens reimbursed at $2/sq ft up to 2,500 sq ft. Funds reimbursed upon project completion.
Contact JSWCD to schedule site visit. Application packet includes native plant lists, installation instructions, and eligibility criteria.
Central Oregon

Turf Replacement Rebate
City of Bend Water Services
Rebate for converting high-water-use lawns to low-water landscapes. Must convert an entire irrigation zone. Project plan submission, site consultation, and follow-up evaluation required. Complete within 90 days of approval, final deadline October 15.
Bend also offers rebates for indoor fixtures and irrigation equipment. The WaterWise Communities program offers up to $10,000 (50% of project costs) for commercial and multi-family landscape conversions.
