In an HOA neighborhood

Mojave Brickellbush takes more care to keep looking intentional in a front yard. Maintenance level: low. Consider it for backyard or mid-zone beds rather than the street edge.

Works well in: backyard only.

  • May appear weedy or unkempt to unfamiliar neighbors
  • Deciduous nature leaves bare stems in winter
  • Small flowers and narrow leaves create informal appearance

Wildlife value

The summer and fall blooms attract bees, butterflies, and moths when many other plants have finished flowering. Seeds provide food for birds and small wildlife.

Native range data from the USDA PLANTS Database and regional native plant society lists. Pollinator and host plant associations compiled from GBIF, iNaturalist, and published ecological literature.
