Slender scratchdaisy is a compact annual wildflower that produces small daisy-like blooms from summer through fall. This drought-tolerant native grows in a neat, low mound and requires minimal care once established.

In an HOA neighborhood

Slender Scratchdaisy takes more care to keep looking intentional in a front yard. Maintenance level: moderate. Consider it for backyard or mid-zone beds rather than the street edge.

Works well in: backyard only.

  • Annual nature requires replanting yearly
  • Can appear sparse or weedy in formal settings
  • Small flowers may not provide desired visual impact

Wildlife value

The long blooming period provides nectar for bees and butterflies throughout the growing season. Small native bees particularly benefit from the extended flower availability.

Native range data from the USDA PLANTS Database and regional native plant society lists. Pollinator and host plant associations compiled from GBIF, iNaturalist, and published ecological literature.
